→Desperately Seeking Serena: Gossip Girl season 5 finale thoughts.

theitgirlserena:

GOSSIP GIRL SEASON 5 FINALE THOUGHTS.

I have A LOT that I would like to say, so bear with me.

  • Firstly, Blair and Chuck. I am glad that the madness of Dair has ended. When I first saw what Chuck said to Blair I was like WHAT ARE YOU DOING? But I’m glad he did what he said. She needs to learn the lesson that she is not the queen of everything- I was glad that she chose to fight for him, it’s the least she can do.
  • Secondly, Derena. I can not be more than happy that they FINALLY put that couple to rest. They should have ended it after season one and left it that way. Although, I did not like how Dan rejected Serena as if she was a piece of trash.
  • Thirdly, Serena. I don’t understand what the writers are doing to her character. I think it is new and exciting that she is resorting back to her own ways, but the CLOCK IS TICKING. There are only 11 episodes of Gossip Girl left. She needs to end with being in a relationship, that is what the producer said. It is not Dan, so PLEASE LET IT BE NATE OMG. But I don’t like how Gossip Girl said Serena doesn’t exist, because without Serena her site would be nothing.
  • Fourthly, Nate and that Lola girl. I don’t want him to end up with her. PLEASE let him end up with Serena. Serena and Nate and Chair and Chuck are the PERFECT endings for the show.
  • Fifthly, Gossip Girl. I can not wait to find out who she is. I know now that we will eventually find out her identity so the upper east siders can take her down.
  • Sixthly, Lily and Rufus are over? Confused? Not sure how I feel about that. And about what BART DID TO CHUCK. That was AWFUL.
  • Lastly, Georgina Sparks. She NEVER gets old. She is the ONLY guest star that I like because she brings a lot of fire and memories from the earlier seasons. I don’t know what season 6 is going to be like, but I’m nervous. They have ended Serena doing drugs and going back to her boarding school? I just don’t know. But all I know, is that 4 months of waiting is going to be hell.

I also think it’s very interesting - in the case of Nate and Serena and Serena specifically that this season finale so closely mirrored Season 1 - but in such an incredibly negative way. In the pilot, she was choosing to return to NY and reform herself. We learned of her affair with Nate, which symbolizes the beginning of a relationship. In the Season 5 finale, she leaves NY and is quickly regressing into the Serena of five years ago. Most importantly, however, she reenacts exactly the same thing that sent her into a spiral in the first place, except this time - with Dan. At the divorce party and divorces symbolize the end of a relationship.

I have no idea what it all means but dear God, I hope it means something great for Nate and Serena.

→Nate and Serena: How could they do that to Serena?

I HATE those writers, they have destroyed Serena. How is bringing her back to how she use to be helping, considering next season is the last one? They took away everything we loved about her, when she came back she tried her best to be a better person and now all those 5 years of Serena working to be a better person is gone. Don’t even let me get started about Serenate because they should have had a scene in that finale!! Now Serena is going to be doing drugs and being a bad person. I feel like I can’t support Gossip Girl anymore, it’s so hard because I’m happy about Chuck and Blair being together, it’s just killed now because of this Serenate and Serena bullshit. I just can’t understand why they would think this was a good idea, it wasn’t a good idea at all.

I really don’t like Dan, but I agreed with what he told Serena about them being over and that there is no “us” when it comes to them! That made me so happy, but why did she make herself look so desperate for him? That also made no sense, this whole episode made no sense to me. Will Serenate get back together in the final season? Oh gee I don’t know maybe the next step for the writers will be to kill Serena off, wouldn’t that be nice? I really am soo frustrated with this show right now. The writers literally destroyed Serena. I’m a hardcore Serenate shipper, but right now the destruction of Serena is killing me because without a stable Serena there will never be a Serenate and I can’t ship Nate with this Serena we just saw… like who the hell was that?

And the fact that they had Dan explicity tell Serena is over has to mean something! Maybe - for once - she’ll realize who’s ALWAYS been there, who’s always accepted her and who’s ALWAYS loved her and maybe, just maybe, the NJBC will be the one to pull her back from the edge next season - not Dan. PLEASE LET NS GET THE ENDING THAT BOTH HE AND SHE DESERVE YOU FUCKING IDIOTIC WRITERS. Nate has never loved anything the way that he’s loved her and Serena needs to open her eyes to him! Also - fuck Dan. Throw him off the Brooklyn bridge please and thank you. Ugh. Asshat.

Dear GG Writers,

You can try and copy this scene but what you can’t copy is this kind of chemistry, emotions  and passion.

Yours sincerely,

Beauty queen of only eighteen
She had some trouble with herself
He was always there to help her
She always belonged to someone else

I drove for miles and miles
And wound up at your door
I’ve had you so many times but somehow
I want more

OMG LMFAO, HOW DOES THAT MAKE IT THE WORSE RELATIONSHIP OMG LMAO, ITS THE FUCKING BEST

Bitches need to rewatch before they talk shit like they know anything. Um… Who did she confide in about her father? 3x14 - Nate. And he wanted to be the person she could bring anything to - the good and the bad. And when it came to her mother? 3x19 - Again, Nate. And who did Nate talk to about his fears of moving too fast? 3x13 - Serena. Did they just jump each other after Nate told her how he felt when he woke up the morning after they slept together at the Shephard Wedding? No. Watch 3x15 again, asshats.
They slept together (on screen) four times in their relationship… That’s it. And all of those episodes were punctuated with beautiful moments between them.

→I was the one with the world at my feet.: I’d love to hear about Chuck, Serena or Nate’s story. Or whether Chair...

inthedarkestofhours:

I’d love to hear about Chuck, Serena or Nate’s story. Or whether Chair fans have anything to look forward to #GossipGirl — @Jaime20lee
Let’s go with Nate — and with good reason. He has some juicy stuff coming up that stems from the return of the aforementioned leggy beauty Liz Hurley, and it’s going to put some strain on his new relationship with Lola. (One of many strains, I hear.) But Nate’s major moment of the season comes closer to the end, after the full core team reunites for their seasonal take-down. “Every season we have our core group come together to vanquish an enemy,” says Safran. “This season — just upping it a little bit — our core group comes together for more than one episode to vanquish an enemy. Maybe even more than one! And that story involves Nate in a major way.”

TVLINE | Is it fair to say the season finale will revolve around Blair making a choice between Dan and Chuck.
It doesn’t revolve around that. That triangle definitely comes to the end point. But the episode revolves around Serena quite heavily. It’s a very huge turning point for Serena — probably the biggest one she’s had since Season 1.

Any hope for Serena and Nate to reunite at some time?
Because the group gets together, as I said before, there are definitely scenes of them together.
